Pendulum has often been referred to as "one of the best Swing groups on the Pacific Rim". Bob Jones and Dave Church founded the group along with Australian bassist/guitarist/vocalist Kerrie Gambley nearly ten years ago. Roland Morris joined Pendulum four years later and has contributed excellent original compositions to the group's repertory. Dave often plays piano when Pendulum performs, and Roland Morris plays guitar and contributes additional vocals. Before founding Pendulum, Dave Church established his reputation in the 1980s as a member of the popular band "Two Way Street". Bob Jones gained fame early for his powerful and tasteful vocals, delighting audiences throughout North America, Europe, & Australia with regular concert, television, & radio appearances since the 1970s. He has since become acclaimed for his skill as a Swing guitarist and violinist. Roland Morris joined Pendulum after making a name for himself as guitarist in the Oregon-based Swing group "Sounds Good". His compositions have previously been recorded by groups such as the Art Abrams Big Band.
You can check out a list of songs Pendulum perform. Above, you've seen photographs of some of the members of Pendulum , and we've told you a little about of the group. We plan to have individual pages giving details about each of the members of Pendulum soon.

If you have an audience who like the popular music of the '20s, '30s, & '40s (and good Swing from later decades); if you want to please patrons who like Fats Waller, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Joe Venutti, Stephane Grappelli, Django Reinhardt, Glenn Miller, the Dorsey brothers, Ambrose, Fletcher Henderson, Louis Prima, Louis Jordan, Louis Armstrong, Mel Torme, Count Basie, Stuff Smith, Eddie South, Nat "King" Cole, Jon Hendricks; if you want to present a good Swing show, superb vocals, good music, good all-around entertainment, then you need to book Pendulum. If you have already heard Pendulum perform, you know what we mean.

After all . . .

NOTHING Swings like a Pendulum!

A photograph of Bob Jones and David Church

Here you see Bob Jones, on the left with the violin, and David Church, on the right with the guitar. In addition to their regular performances with the full Pendulum group, Bob and Dave have performed together as the Pendulum Duo on rare occasions. Dave's solid rhythm and Bob's soaring violin breaks give a fiery Hot Club feel to their music, while their vocals--and especially their vocal harmonies--epitomize Swing at its best.

The photo above shows Bob and Roland. They also perform together as the Pendulum Duo on rare occasions, mainly in North America, in addition to their regular performances with the full Pendulum group.

A Few of Pendulum's Favourite Tunes . . .

Here are a few of the many songs and tunes performed by the members of Pendulum. This list covers only about half of their repertory, but it will give you some idea of what Pendulum does in case you haven't heard them.
